Despite coming off a 40-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 , a game in which the Jacksonville Jaguars were favored, the team heads back home to TIAA Bank Field as five point favorites over the Houston Texans. That the Jaguars are favorites isnít much of a surprise, but that itís nearly a touchdown is what makes it a little eyebrow raising. The Houston Texans have rallied from and 0-3 start and won three games in a row, though all three have been by one-score margins and their most recent win over the Buffalo Bills was thanks to a Nathan Peterman pick six with under two minutes left. The Texans did beat the Cowboys team that recently thumped the Jaguars, however. This should be a game that the Jaguars win at home , but the last two weeks have turned things that should happen into the abyss. The Texans offensive line is in shambles and on pace to allow over 60 sacks on the season. Deshaun Watson is coming off a game where he was sacked seven times and his body is currently being held together with wood glue and duct tape, seemingly. The real question is how will the Jaguars offense perform against a Texans defense that has found its form once again. The Jacksonville Jaguars passing offense ó in a word ó awful against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They donít trust Blake Bortles to throw and if the defense hadnít played an all-time game this would have gotten out of hand very quickly.Bortles averaged a pedestrian 5.7 yards per attempt and was sacked six (six!) times.Who was responsible for those sacks? Letís take a look.Sack #1: 3rd & 9 at PIT 20(4:21 - 2nd) (Shotgun) B. Bortles sacked at PIT 25 for -5 yards (J. Hargrave).Instead of staying in his zone, backup right guard Chris Reed moves too far over to the center, leaving his space completely empty for Javon Hargrave to come over and collect the sack.Fault: Chris ReedSack #2: 2nd & 10 at JAX 20(1:37 - 2nd) (Shotgun) B. Itís obviously not a slow-developing play with multiple receivers on crossers and Carlos Hyde on a route out to the flat. Blake needs to get rid of it.Fault: Blake BortlesSummary*heavy sigh*2018 sack totalsPlayerSacksPlayerSacksUp next: The bye week!
